Port Campbell National Park

Gibsons Steps

Incredible beach that you will reach by following this narrow cliffhugging stairway. On the beach you will be surrounded by the enormous limestone cliffs. Great place to walk down the beach or have a quick dip in the water. Not a great place for a proper swim as the currents can be strong here.

The Twelve Apostles

Probably the most famous spot on the Great Ocean Road. A series of limestone stacks along the coast here. Beautiful lookouts here especially at sunrise and sunset. Very busy.

Loch Ard Gorge

A little further west along the Great Ocean Road is this incredible gorge. You can watch the ocean pounding against the cliffs here from the viewing platform or walk down to the beautiful beach. The gorge has some interesting rock formations. Lots of people here.

From the Loch Ard Gorge carpark You can walk out to the viewing platform for this enormous impressive rock feature.

Island Arch

Another impressive rock feature great for photos although you won't be the only one here.

Thunder Cave

Powerful waves crashing up into this cave cause a blowhole. As the name suggests it makes a lot of noise.

Broken Head

If you can find the turnoff here just past Thunder Cave there is a nice little beach at the bottom of a stairway carved into the cliff face.

Sherbrook River

Keep following the path along to the end and you can see the river as it meets the sea.

The Grotto Stairs

Wind down to this beautiful rockpool. The water is quite acidic here so not a good spot to swim. Another place where you can watch the powerful swell crashing against the cliffs.

The Arch

Another stunning rock formation. The viewing platforms here are much closer to the ocean so it is a nice spot.

London Bridge

Just west of Port Campbell is this viewing platform for the London Bridge which is a rock formation some way out to sea.

Bay of Martyrs

You can follow the cliff top walk all the way from Macs St in Peterborough. It is a few minutes drive west of Peterborough on the Great Ocean Rd. Beautiful stretch of beach here and it is much quieter than other beaches along the Great Ocean Rd. Worm Bay is another beautiful beach accessible from this clifftop walk.

Bay of Islands

Beautiful beach here and some stunning lookouts. One of the most impressive spots on the Great Ocean Rd and it doesn't have huge crowds like other spots. Great spot for photos especially at sunset and sunrise.

Port Campbell Hostel

Cool place with an in-house brewery.
