Beaches
Angourie Point

World Famous surf break. Consistent and strong waves for experienced surfers. Just south of Yamba. You can catch the 380 bus to the beach.

Back Beach Angourie

Long beach with plenty of space and lots of interesting waves.

Pippi Beach

This beautiful beach is the most popular spot in Yamba. Good surf in the summer especially at the northern end. Expect lots of people in the lineup.

Spookies Beach

Great spot for beginners closer to town. Very popular.

Main Beach

Another great beginner surf beach. Patrolled in the summer. Right in town and as popular as you would expect.

Turners Beach

Just to the north of the lighthouse. Has a break at either end and offers gentle waves for beginners.

Nightlife
Pacific Hotel

Great bar in Yamba with a view out over the ocean. Good for a beer after surfing. Open til midnight.

Yamba Tavern

Big bar on the river. It is a little way out of town but they do have a shuttle.

Yamba Bowling Club

Big place with the cheapest beer in town and cheap meals.

Attractions
Yuraygir National Park

This is a beautiful park but access is difficult for those without a reliable low range 4wd. Experienced 4wd travellers will find this place beautiful and remote. The other way to access the park is by walking. The Yuraygir coastal walk is an incredible 5 day hike along the coast here. For the experienced and prepared.

Lovers Point Rock Wall

On the northern side of Pippi Beach. Great views and a good spot for whalewatching.

Angourie Blue Pool

Park at the end of The Crescent and take a short walk down to this series of beautiful swimming holes by the beach.

Yamba Farmers Market

Every Wednesday at the Whiting Beach car park. Lots of great food.

Accommodation
Lake Arragan or Red Cliff Campgrounds

Big campground that fills up at busy times. Outside peak times there is plenty of space here. Nice lake and coastal sites.
