Agnes Water Beach

Great surf beach that tends to get busy at peak times. The beach is patrolled. One of the best beaches in Queensland.

Chinamans Beach

Beautiful beach, less crowded than main beach. Good spot for fishing or watching a sunrise.

Attractions
1770 Butterfly Walk

In Autumn and Winter there are thousands of butterflies along this short easy walk. Between March and June you can see the Blue Tiger Butterflies.

1770 Headland and Lookouts

Short but stunning walk. Particularly good at low tide.

Agnes Reef 2 Beach Surf School

Great surf school at Agnes Main Beach.

Discovery Coast Markets

On the 2nd and 4th Sunday at the SES Grounds off Captain Cook Dr. Great market here and good place to buy fruit and veg or hang out.

Deepwater National Park

Not recommended for 2wd vehicles. Great camping at Middle Rock and Wreck Rock Campgrounds. Both of them are a short walk from the Great Barrier Reef. This is where the endangered leatherback turtle nests. You can see nesting turtles on the beach from October to February. Hatchlings make their journey to the sea from January to April. Eurimbula National Park

Only accessible by 4wd. There are 2 campsites and some great lookouts within the park.

Popular campsite with good facilities right by the beach.

Close to the beach. You can rent surfboards here and they have a bar and BBQ. Beautiful spot.

Cool place. Very social and has a great pool along with BBQ, games and a campfire.
