Murramarang National Park

Beautiful coastal park. Lots of great beaches and walks as well as fishing and 4wding. The best camping spot is Pebbly Beach home of the surfing kangaroos. Plenty of other places including the easily accessible Pretty Beach. Camping on the beach and at non designated camp sites is possible. There is a vehicle access fee of $7 to enter the National Park.

Singing Stones Beach

Follow the Pebbly Beach–Pretty Beach walking track from the campground. This is just one of the great beaches along the way. If the wind is right the pebbles will make a singing sound.

Myrtle Beach

A short walk down Flat Rock Island track is this nude beach. Plenty of space and it is very secluded.

Wimbie Beach

Small beach at the southern end of Surf Beach. From here you can walk south to more secluded beaches and some viewing platforms.

Durras Mountain

Start this walk at the Pebbly Beach Campground. It takes about 4 hours and is a steep climb. Worth the effort for the views at the top. Lots of wildlife. Look out for parrots and really big goannas.

Durras Lake

Crystal clear lake. Great fishing and kayaking. This is one of the best places in the country to go prawning from November til March. Nicea walking track around the lake. Takes about 3 hours.

Murramarang North Head

It is a dirt road but should be fine for 2wd. There is a great rock pool. Best a couple of hours either side of low tide. If you want to stay here there is an excellent free camping area.

Pretty Beach Campground

Busy campground with all facilities.

Pebbly Beach Campground

Can be quite busy, both with other campers and with kangaroos. Great facilities and lots of space.
