Beaches
Betka Beach

This is a wild & beautiful southern surf beach. Not the safest place to surf but good for walking down the beach. You are sure to find some privacy here. On the southern side there is a cave accessible at low tide.

Gabo Island Lightstation Reserve

If you are hiring a boat in Mallacoota you can head here. Interesting little Island just offshore.

Croajingolong National Park

Beautiful and remote park. It has forests, beaches, granite peaks and lots of animal & bird life. The best way to see this incredible park is via the 4 day wilderness walk. For those that don’t have the time or inclination for this you can drive/walk to many great spots here.

The Wilderness Coast Walk

Starting from the Shipwreck Creek Campground and going all the way to Thurra. This 3 or 4 day walk offers the best of coastal Australia. For experienced hikers only.

Point Hicks Lighthouse Point

A long drive. 4wd is recommended. Popular spot to visit nice viewpoint and a seal colony here. There are two campgrounds on the way in. Thurra River is highly recommended and you can walk along the big sand dunes and slide down them if you have a board. Mueller Inlet is a little further away but a great spot for fishing. Lucys Noodle House

Handmade noodles with fresh veges and local delicacies like abalone and sea urchin. Amazing place to eat. Get in early if they have dumplings.

Accommodation
Shipwreck Creek Campground

Small campsite above an isolated cove. Flat ground and close to the beach. Follow the short trail from here to Seal Creek to swim in the rockpools.

Peach Tree Creek Campground

Great quiet camping spot. Does get busy over holiday periods. Right next to the Tamboon Inlet, a great spot for kayaking and fishing.
